Artificial Intelligence for the Electron Ion Collider
27-29 October 2025
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA

ABSTRACT: Now in its fourth edition, AI4EIC (https://eic.ai) has become a cornerstone for fostering collaboration between the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) community and experts in artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). Through a series of workshops, tutorials, and hackathons, AI4EIC has established itself as a vital forum for knowledge exchange, catalyzing the integration of AI/ML technologies into the EIC science. AI4EIC 2025, hosted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in partnership with the AI Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Interactions (IAIFI), highlights the forefront of AI/ML research across the EIC program. The workshop spans a broad spectrum—from the first experiment to be operating at the EIC, ePIC, to other future experiments, as well as applications in accelerator physics, theory, and phenomenology. This year's program is designed to deepen interdisciplinary collaboration among physicists, data scientists, and AI researchers. Dedicated sessions explore topics such as the integration of AI/ML in experimental workflows, emerging trends in data science, and the challenges of deploying AI/ML solutions in real-time environments. A key focus of the workshop is to elevate AI/ML literacy within the EIC community, empowering researchers to effectively leverage these technologies in current and future scientific endeavors. https://indico.bnl.gov/event/AI4EIC2025
