The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers working all over the world on the themes of laser-matter interaction and the many related applications.

During the long series of editions, the Conference acknowledged the revolutionary evolution of the techniques of amplification of ultra-short laser pulses and the consequent outcomes in the field of acceleration of particles in plasmas and of the radiations produced in those processes. Considerable importance is also given to diagnostic techniques, specifically designed to characterize energetic particles and radiation produced in the processes studied. The close collaboration between the major research institutions and Italian universities has always characterized the conference through the numerous participation of PhD students and young researchers.
